New York City Tourism + Conventions is the official tourism organization for the five boroughs of NYC.
OUR MISSION
New York City Tourism + Conventions is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) and convention and visitors bureau (CVB) for the five boroughs of New York City. Our mission is to invite the world and energize the City, building equitable, sustainable economic prosperity and community through tourism for the mutual benefit of residents, businesses and visitors.
A 501(c) 6 private corporation, NYC Tourism + Conventions represents the interests of nearly 2,000 member organizations across the spectrum of businesses and organizations in the City.
NYC Tourism + Conventions provides resources for visitors to discover everything they need to know about what to do and see in New York City. In addition to an integrated market development team with a focus on group, meeting/convention, leisure and events-motivated travel, our communications network promotes visitation from around the globe. Together with satellite convention sales offices in the US to develop group business, our marketing efforts—both consumer and business facing—position the City to attract business and leisure travelers.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We respectfully acknowledge New York City as Lenapehoking—homeland of the Lenape people, who were subject to genocide, forced displacement and systemic oppression. As those charged with spreading a positive message of New York City to the world, NYC Tourism + Conventions recognizes we have not centered Indigenous people enough in our past work. Moving forward, we are committed to uplifting and supporting the voices of the federally recognized Lenape who now reside in Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Canada, and the Native American communities within the five boroughs. This statement represents one step in observing the history of our land and building meaningful relationships across cultures.
